General Accountant

Department: Finance & Accounting
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
Reports to: Finance Manager

You’re a detail-focused accounting professional who takes pride in accuracy and ownership. You’re proactive, organized, and comfortable managing the full cycle of accounting for multiple subsidiaries. If you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep financial processes smooth and compliant, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
Accounting Operations (60%)
• Manage daily accounting tasks: accounts payable, revenue, fixed assets, journal entries, and monthly closings
• Prepare both individual and consolidated financial statements
• Track and process payments for contractors and project expenses
• Manage construction work-in-progress (CWIP) and related fixed assets

Contract & Lease Management (15%)
• Administer leasing contracts and ensure timely rent collections
• Oversee all bank transactions, data entry, and account reconciliations

Compliance & Reporting (20%)
• Prepare and submit tax declarations on time, complying with regulations
• Support loan drawdown documentation and monitor loan covenant compliance
• Assist in external audit preparation and coordination

Documentation & Organization (5%)
• Maintain organized, accurate accounting records and documentation

What You’ll Need
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field
• Certified Chief Accountant certification
• Strong command of English (written and spoken)
• 5+ years’ experience in corporate finance, or 3+ years in accounting/audit firms
• Experience working with tax authorities and external auditors
• Real estate industry experience is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience (e.g., FAST, Oracle, Odoo)
• Highly organized, responsible, and discreet with confidential information
